Sign in School evolved from Sarah’s belief that the use of Sign Supported English massively benefits a wide range of children and young people. Sarah believes it is the most accessible use of BSL (British Sign Language) using signs and gestures alongside fully grammatical speech. Experience taught Sarah that training to support the use of BSL in this way was expensive, hard to come by and frequently inflexible. Sarah hopes that Sign in School will bridge this gap empowering parents, carers, schools and more to use sign to support children in their home or setting.
